LGBTQ+ Affirming Therapy
LGBTQ+ Affirming & Gender-Affirming Therapy
A space where you can be yourself
You deserve a therapist who understands and respects all aspects of your identity.
For LGBTQ+ folks, concerns that bring someone to therapy may be similar —anxiety, depression, relationships, self-esteem, life transitions, or simply feeling stuck. At other times, questions or experiences related to identity, coming out, gender, relationships, family, or belonging may be an important part of the work.
Therapy should be a place where you can talk openly without having to educate your therapist about your identity or worry about being judged.
LGBTQ+ affirming care
I provide an affirming, respectful space for LGBTQ+ individuals and honor the opportunity to work with people across the spectrum of sexual orientations and gender identities.
Therapy may involve:
Exploring identity and self-understanding
Navigating coming out or decisions about disclosure
Managing anxiety, depression, or stress
Exploring relationships and family dynamics
Working through experiences of rejection, stigma, or discrimination
Building self-acceptance and self-confidence
Navigating life transitions
Developing a stronger connection with your authentic self
You don't need to have a specific LGBTQ+-related concern to benefit from an affirming therapist. You are welcome to bring whatever concerns are important to you.
Gender-affirming mental health care
I also provide assessments and psychological support for individuals seeking gender-affirming care in accordance with the WPATH Standards of Care. This is the assessment required by some medical providers for individuals seeking HRT or surgery.
You deserve a place to be yourself
You don't have to hold back elements of yourself here.
